Dear Prospective Agent, 

Thank you for your interest in becoming a certified agent with the National Basketball Players Association. Please review the NBPA Agent Certification FAQs  prior to beginning the enclosed application. 

Please read the following information thoroughly before proceeding to the application:

The enclosed application must be completed in its entirety prior to being submitted for review. Once started, you will have 72 hours to complete your application. Do not close or refresh the application browser to avoid losing your progress. Each question must be answered in order to fully evaluate your credentials and your eligibility to sit for the Agent Exam. Should you require additional space to fully respond to a question, please attach an addendum on the "File Upload" page.  Failure to provide all required documents will delay the processing of your application. 

At the conclusion of this application, you will arrive at the payment section and will be prompted to select whether you are paying Internationally or within the United States. All applicants will be assigned a unique application ID number at this time. Please keep your application ID number for your records as this will be used to link payment to your application.  You will be required to remit payment prior to completing your application and will need to provide proof of payment in order to submit your application. Total payment for the agent application is $2,000.00 USD which includes a non-refundable application fee of $750.00 (which includes access to the CBA Mastery course) and pro-rated annual dues in the amount of $1,250.00 USD. Payment must be made prior to the final submission of this application

International applicants only will receive wire transfer instructions and will be required to initiate payment via wire transfer. International Applicants must include their application ID number in the payment details of their wire transfer. Additionally, the application ID and wire transfer receipt must be reflected on the proof of payment records, which must be uploaded in order to submit the application. 

U.S. based applicants must remit payment via PayPal and will be prompted to login or create a PayPal account in order to do so.  For applicants paying within the U.S., your application ID number will be automatically generated on your PayPal payment and receipt. You will need to upload a copy of your PayPal receipt (displaying your application ID number) in order to proceed with submitting your application.

Applications submitted without the proper proof of payment will be rejected. Payment must be submitted at the time of application to avoid being denied for failure to pay. Applicants are responsible for confirming payment with their financial institutions as payment statuses will not be provided by the NBPA. 

The deadline to submit your application with full payment is 11:59PM EST on October 31, 2024. No exceptions will be granted.
